Chabad of Northeast Queens is a branch of the worldwide Chabad Lubavitch movement, founded by the Rebbe, of righteous memory. Nearly three decades ago, Rabbi Yossi Blesofsky, his wife, Dina Blesofsky, and their two children began building a community center in Bayside Queens offering a range of services in an inclusive non-judgmental environment. Three short years later, Chabad of Northeast Queens launched an early childhood learning center, and followed 13 years later with an elementary school. The educational programs are a cornerstone of our community center. STREAM Early Learning Center and Tamim Academy of Queens serve Queens and Long Island students ages 2-14. Families, students and school staff create a vibrant, diverse, and caring school community.

Tamim Academy of Queens builds on STREAM Early Learning Center. Known throughout Queens and the metro area for providing an innovative pedagogical program, young children have the opportunity to develop self-confidence and self-awareness, enhance their academic skills and creative capabilities, and build their individual Jewish identity in a caring environment. We offer a distinctive curriculum, inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, that introduces children to the fundamental components of higher learning at an early age. Essential concepts are explored through hands-on activities, expanding students’ skills in collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication. Our intentional and connected curriculum cultivates early learners with a strong foundation to be creative, curious, resilient risk-takers.

STREAM Early Learning Center is a longtime partner of NYCDOE providing free full day 3-K for All and Pre-K for All classes to 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds living in NYC.

“We integrate our students in a manner that sets them up for a 21st century lifestyle and gives learning meaning by teaching in a relatable fashion.”
Dina Blesofsky, Founder & Head of School
